Another year has gone by, and the holiday breaks are fast approaching. This is when we get to enjoy time with our friends and family. This also means it’s almost layoff time for our hourly-paid Team Members.
With that in mind, we want to provide you with important information for filling out layoff forms for Team Members. Layoff forms don’t affect payroll processing, so you can complete them at any point.
Log in to the SAGE intranet and follow these steps:
● Go to your Staff page (within Human Resources > Manager View), and select the Team Member’s name.
● Go to the Layoffs tab, and start the layoff process.
● Include the Team Member’s last day of physical work, recall date, and vacation and/or personal days (if the Team Member requests to use any). The system will show days available, but you need to use the drop-down to select the number of days eligible for pay.
● Note: We don’t pay out sick days during short breaks like Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks.
● Don’t change the Holiday #1 or Holiday #2 information. The system will automatically update these based on the last day worked and number of vacation and personal days. This is separate from payroll. You must add the holiday to the payroll timesheet for the Team Member to be paid.
● The system will automatically calculate the last day paid. You can’t manually edit this date.
