Use this guide to get the perfect rendering each time.

Step-by-step guide

(Tips for Taking Pictures: Start where you enter the space and work your way around the room clockwise or counterclockwise.

  1. To get a greater feel for the space make sure you take pictures standing at the farthest point back. Close up images of serveries do not help to estimate the space size and layout.
  2. Taking photos of an entire wall as straight on as possible will help us scale a drawing if we have no measurements.
  3. Take close-ups to show existing details you want included (e.g., servery, architecture, lighting & materials such as flooring, walls, ceiling)

Tips for Taking Measurements: Wherever possible obtain blueprints/blacklines and 2D and 3D AutoCAD files]. If you can't get a copy take a picture of these drawings straight on.

  1. The more measurements the better. If you don't have access to these plans, the next best option is to get as many measurements of the space as you can. Send a message in the Rendering Request Form if you would like examples on how to measure.
  2. If you can't get measurements, try to note the sizes of a few things in the space (e.g., tile, doors, windows, servery). We can try to scale the pictures you take with a couple of dimensions to reference.
  3. For a quick estimate measure and then count the floor or ceiling tiles (e.g., the tiles are 12" x 12" and there are 50 across the room).
